Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension benefit requests for retirees and beneficiaries.
- Conduct weekend data entry and reconciliation of pension fund records.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal government pension regulations and laws.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding pension calculations and status updates.
- Assist in the annual audit of pension assets and distribution reports.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate payroll deductions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, payroll, or government benefits.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with retirees and government officials.
