Responsibilities
- Process, index, and archive official government documents and public records in accordance with established retention schedules.
- Assist the public and internal staff with requests for information, ensuring strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality protocols.
- Utilize digital document management systems to maintain an organized, searchable database for county operations.
- Prepare and maintain correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes for the County Board of Commissioners.
- Perform routine audits of filing systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Records Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role within a government, legal, or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with document management software (e.g., DocuWare, Laserfiche).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
