Responsibilities
- Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of assigned facilities, including city buildings, parks, and public spaces to deter crime and ensure safety.
- Access Control: Enforce strict security protocols by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and issuing visitor passes.
- Incident Reporting: Document daily activities, irregularities, and emergencies using digital reporting tools and provide accurate written reports to supervisors.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, suspicious activities, or security breaches following established emergency procedures.
- Customer Service: Assist visitors, employees, and residents with inquiries, directions, or access issues in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, as well as city ordinances and departmental policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Licensing: Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is highly preferred but not mandatory for qualified applicants.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
