Responsibilities
- Respond to public safety incidents and emergencies within designated city zones
- Conduct community outreach programs promoting safety awareness and crime prevention
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations and investigations
- Document incident reports and maintain accurate digital records using city systems
- Participate in disaster preparedness drills and emergency response training
- Monitor public areas using surveillance systems to identify safety concerns
- Assist in traffic control and public event security coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 2 years experience in public safety, security, or related field
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident reporting software
