Responsibilities
- Operate multi-channel radio systems for emergency/non-emergency communications
- Process 911 calls and dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Maintain detailed logs of all radio communications and call activities
- Utilize CAD software for incident tracking and resource allocation
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (certification test required)
- Fluency in English/Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Successfully complete dispatcher training academy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
