Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Monitor airport operations and respond to security incidents with professionalism and calm
- Operate advanced imaging technology and document security activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to maintain secure environments
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing federal security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to work flexible weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and holidays
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn security technology systems
