Responsibilities
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process applications and documentation for various municipal programs with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform routine data entry and record-keeping tasks to ensure compliance with city protocols.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to streamline government service delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with local codes and ordinances.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and filing system.
- Handle sensitive information with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a government, administrative, or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record for field duties.
