Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research to identify new grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations.
- Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, including executive summaries, narratives, budgets, and required attachments.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and compliance with funder guidelines.
- Collaborate with program directors and finance teams to gather accurate data and success stories.
- Monitor and evaluate grant outcomes, preparing required reports to maintain funding and build relationships.
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of potential funding sources and submission calendars.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in grant writing within the non-profit or education sector.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze funding agency guidelines quickly and accurately.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grants and managing donor relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software (e.g., Foundant, Fluxx, or similar).
