Responsibilities
- Research and identify strategic grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate funders
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports tailored to specific funder requirements
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Coordinate with program staff to gather necessary data and impact metrics
- Manage grant application pipeline including deadlines, submissions, and reporting schedules
- Analyze funding trends and provide recommendations to align organizational priorities
- Maintain accurate grant records in CRM database and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Non-Profit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of professional grant writing experience with proven track record of securing funding
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Proficiency with grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce NPSP) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and prepare competitive applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Hawaii's non-profit landscape and local funding priorities
