Responsibilities
- Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential funding partners
- Collaborate with program staff to identify funding needs and align proposals with organizational goals
- Manage grant application processes including budgets, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Conduct thorough prospect research to identify new funding opportunities
- Prepare compelling case statements and program narratives
- Track funding opportunities and maintain accurate grant calendars
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with demonstrated success
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to craft persuasive narratives
- Experience with federal, state, and private foundation grant applications
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and budget development
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and grant databases
