Responsibilities
- Research and identify strategic grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate sources
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports tailored to funder requirements
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program staff to gather necessary program information
- Manage grant compliance, reporting deadlines, and documentation systems
- Analyze funding trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategy
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and compliance standards
- Collaborate with finance team to ensure accurate budget development and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of proven grant writing experience with $500K+ annual funding secured
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio demonstrating successful grant applications
- Expertise in federal (SAM.gov), state, and private foundation grant processes
- Proficiency with grant management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantStation)
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and financial reporting
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated understanding of Anaheim/Orange County non-profit landscape
