We seek a passionate Part-Time Grant Writer to secure vital funding for our life-changing programs. This hybrid role (3 days/week onsite in Denver) offers flexible hours while making a tangible impact through strategic grant development. Collaborate with program directors to craft compelling narratives that resonate with funders, and help us expand our reach across Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
- Collaborate with program staff to gather compelling impact data and success stories
- Manage grant calendars and ensure timely submission of all applications
- Maintain accurate records of funding sources, requirements, and reporting deadlines
- Prepare interim and final grant reports demonstrating program outcomes
- Stay current on funding trends and donor priorities in Colorado
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Communications, or related field
- 3+ years of proven grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Portfolio showcasing successful grant applications for non-profits
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, GrantStation)
- Ability to translate complex program data into compelling narratives
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple deadlines
