Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop compelling grant proposals, budgets, and reports exceeding $1M annually
- Collaborate with program directors to gather impact data and narrative content
- Manage funder relationships and stewardship activities for 25+ funding partners
- Maintain accurate grant tracking systems and compliance documentation
- Lead grant writing workshops for program staff and volunteers
- Monitor funding trends and adapt strategies to emerging opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $5M+ secured
- Proven success with federal (SAM.gov), state (TWC), and foundation grants
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with portfolio samples required
- Advanced proficiency in grants management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP)
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and financial reporting
- Certified Grant Writer (CGW) or equivalent preferred
