We seek a passionate Part-Time Grant Writer to identify opportunities and craft compelling proposals that drive impactful programs across Tampa Bay. You'll work closely with program directors to translate community needs into fundable initiatives. This position offers remote flexibility with occasional in-person meetings at our downtown Tampa office.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and supporting narratives
- Manage relationships with 15-20 foundation/corporate partners quarterly
- Prepare progress reports and compliance documentation for active grants
- Maintain accurate grant pipeline tracking in Salesforce CRM
- Collaborate with finance team to ensure budget alignment in proposals
- Stay current on funding trends through professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, English, or related field
- 3+ years grant writing experience with 80%+ funding success rate
- Portfolio demonstrating $5M+ secured in competitive grants
- Expertise with federal/state grant applications (SAM.gov)
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud
- Exceptional analytical skills for budget development
- Certificate in Grant Writing (preferred)
- Tampa Bay area residency required
