Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations
- Develop comprehensive grant proposals including budgets, narratives, and supporting documents
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key funding partners and stakeholders
- Analyze program outcomes to demonstrate impact and ensure compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate grant calendars and reporting systems
- Mentor junior staff on best practices in grant development and compliance
- Collaborate with finance team to prepare accurate budget narratives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Mgmt, English) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of successful grant writing experience with $1M+ in secured funding
- Proven track record with federal, state, and foundation grant applications
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with ability to translate complex data
- Proficiency with grant management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantHub)
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and outcome measurement
- Experience working with Tampa Bay nonprofits preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
