Responsibilities
- Identify Funding Opportunities: Conduct thorough research to identify grant prospects from federal, state, and private foundations aligned with our mission.
- Write Compelling Proposals: Draft high-quality, persuasive grant narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation that meet strict deadlines.
- Manage the Grant Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end process of grant applications, including submission tracking and compliance adherence.
- Prepare Reports: Create timely and accurate progress reports and final impact reports for funders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with program staff to understand project goals and funding needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of successful grant applications and writing samples is required for consideration.
- Research Skills: Strong ability to navigate grant databases and interpret RFPs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
