Responsibilities
- Construct, repair, and maintain city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and asphalt pavers
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on infrastructure projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Document work progress and maintain project logs
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class B or higher preferred)
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or willingness to obtain certification
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
