Responsibilities
- Perform infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks, graders) safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate remotely with engineering teams for project planning and scheduling
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate digital records of work completed and materials used
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Experience operating heavy equipment (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic computer skills for remote reporting (MS Office, digital forms)
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
