Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Install and maintain storm drains, sewers, and water systems
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on project execution
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years public works or heavy civil construction experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class A preferred)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation (CAT, Komatsu, etc.)
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
