Responsibilities
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks under supervision.
- Site Preparation: Perform grading, excavation, and debris removal for construction and maintenance projects.
- Road Maintenance: Assist in pothole repair, crack sealing, and pavement preservation.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials and supplies efficiently.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow crew members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Licensing: Valid Colorado Driver’s License and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, work in extreme weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
