Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, graders)
- Install and maintain storm drainage systems
- Perform road construction and repair duties
- Execute erosion control measures and landscaping
- Conduct utility line installation and maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols daily
- Complete daily equipment inspections and reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public works/construction experience
- Valid North Carolina Class B CDL license
- OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with GPS survey equipment
- Knowledge of local construction codes
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work
