Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and asphalt pavers
- Perform site preparation, grading, and utility installation
- Conduct daily inspections of city infrastructure
- Maintain safety protocols and OSHA compliance
- Assist in stormwater management and erosion control
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid Arizona Class A CDL license
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with Scottsdale-specific municipal codes
- First Aid/CPR certification
