Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and graders for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, concrete pouring, and road maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards on all job sites
- Assist in traffic control and public safety during construction operations
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to execute project blueprints
- Maintain accurate project documentation and daily activity logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Texas Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
