Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and asphalt rollers
- Perform manual labor on road construction, drainage systems, and utility installations
- Conduct routine maintenance on public facilities and equipment
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to execute project blueprints
- Document daily progress and material usage in field reports
- Participate in emergency response for public infrastructure failures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and basic equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
