Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, and street sweepers
- Assist in road maintenance, pothole repairs, and snow removal operations
- Install and repair public infrastructure including signage, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale public projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works experience
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment with proper certification
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
