Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in repairing roads, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Participate in seasonal snow removal and emergency response operations
- Maintain job site cleanliness and proper tool/equipment storage
- Follow OSHA guidelines and department safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Preferred: 1+ years of construction/public works experience
