Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and asphalt pavers for municipal construction projects
- Perform manual labor tasks such as grading, trenching, and concrete finishing
- Inspect and maintain public infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, and parks
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and departmental protocols at all work sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams to execute project specifications accurately
- Document work progress and maintain equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or heavy construction
- Valid Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement required
- Certification in OSHA 30-hour Construction Training preferred
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with survey equipment and construction tools
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Texas Class B Water/Wastewater Operator certification a plus
