Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment such as backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks under supervision.
- Perform manual labor including digging, grading, and excavation for road and utility projects.
- Maintain public infrastructure including sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and setting up work zones for safety.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Perform snow removal and winter maintenance duties during inclement weather.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Driver's License (Class B or CDL preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
