Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers under supervision
- Maintain and repair public facilities including sidewalks, drainage systems, and parks
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and departmental regulations
- Assist in storm response and emergency maintenance operations as needed
- Complete daily work logs and report equipment maintenance requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, landscaping, or related field
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
