Responsibilities
- Perform heavy construction tasks including excavation, grading, and concrete installation
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Maintain city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency storm response and infrastructure repairs
- Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain job site cleanliness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex municipal projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Basic math and measurement skills
