Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain strict safety protocols on job sites
- Assist in traffic control and site preparation for public construction projects
- Collaborate with engineers and skilled trades on complex municipal projects
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and site cleanup
- Document project progress and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification required
- Valid Class A CDL with airbrakes endorsement
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
- Clean driving record and no prior safety violations
