Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and dozers for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, paving, and concrete work
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Assist in traffic control and site maintenance during construction operations
- Collaborate with engineers and crew leads on project specifications
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections and basic maintenance
- Document project progress and material usage in field reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works labor experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong teamwork skills with ability to follow complex instructions
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Pre-employment physical and drug screening required
