Responsibilities
- Execute manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and facility maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, loaders) safely and efficiently
- Perform road repair, drainage system upkeep, and landscape maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inspection records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and survey markers
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow precise instructions
- Pre-employment physical examination and drug screening required
