Responsibilities
- Sort, load, and deliver mail/packages along designated routes using postal vehicles or on foot
- Collect outgoing mail and process customer transactions at mailboxes and residences
- Operate postal vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any irregularities or issues
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and ensure vehicle cleanliness
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery inquiries
- Adhere to USPS policies, safety protocols, and delivery timeframes
- Assist with mail processing duties at the post office as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and carry mail for extended periods
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
