Your Role:
You will be responsible for assisting customers with a variety of transactions, providing information, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with license renewals, vehicle registrations, title transfers, and address changes.
- Process payments accurately using cash, credit cards, checks, and electronic funds transfer.
- Answer incoming phone calls and resolve inquiries regarding DMV policies, wait times, and service availability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace; organize documents and files.
- Operate computer terminals and database systems to update customer information and issue documentation.
- Assist in training new staff members on standard operating procedures and customer service best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding motor vehicle operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, government, or public-facing roles is highly desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations simply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive data and financial transactions.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
