Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal network infrastructure and hardware.
- Manage and secure Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with FISMA regulations, NIST standards, and ITIL best practices.
- Perform regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and patch management.
- Document technical configurations and create knowledge base articles for the support team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software solutions and improve system efficiency.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets with a focus on 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or PowerShell scripting; strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP protocols.
- Compliance: Deep understanding of federal security policies, data privacy laws, and access control mechanisms.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.
