Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain local and wide-area networks, including hardware and software configuration.
- Ensure compliance with federal security protocols, NIST standards, and agency-specific policies.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support to internal staff and federal customers.
- Document system configurations, changes, and incident reports in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades and major deployments.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support within a federal environment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA).
