Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) under supervision
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and material handling
- Maintain construction sites through debris removal and safety inspections
- Assphalt/concrete repair and road maintenance activities
- Support stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Collaborate with crew leaders to meet project deadlines
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and department protocols
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class B preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment familiarity
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Pinellas County
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
