Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure supporting VA healthcare operations
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and incident response
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system integration solutions
- Manage cloud migration projects using AWS/Azure platforms
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST security standards
- Document system architectures and create disaster recovery protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with federal systems
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in network infrastructure (Cisco/Juniper) and virtualization (VMware)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and DevOps tools
- Demonstrated project management experience with PMP or similar certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
