Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure systems including networks, servers, and cloud solutions
- Provide technical support for VA healthcare applications and telehealth systems
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards (NIST FISMA) and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT service delivery and system performance
- Document system configurations, procedures, and security protocols
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery initiatives
- Train staff on new technologies and system upgrades
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in network administration or systems engineering
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience with federal IT procurement processes and vendor management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
