Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud platforms
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical support and system administration for VA applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization projects
- Ensure all systems comply with FISMA and NIST standards
- Document system configurations and maintenance procedures
- Train staff on new technologies and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure management experience
- Federal security clearance eligibility (required)
- Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong knowledge of federal IT compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
