Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud systems
- Develop and execute cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data and systems
- Provide technical leadership for IT projects ensuring compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing systems
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive solutions to prevent disruptions
- Document IT processes, policies, and procedures for federal compliance and knowledge transfer
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices for IT security and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems administration or cybersecurity
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Expertise in federal IT frameworks including FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and virtualization
- Experience with IT project management using Agile or waterfall methodologies
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
