Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems supporting homeland security missions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate cybersecurity breach remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud migration and modernization projects
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity standards
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and agency stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships for IT infrastructure and security services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal IT or cybersecurity roles
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, Wireshark, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and federal FedRAMP requirements
- Knowledge of federal acquisition procedures and IT infrastructure lifecycle management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
