Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain agency cybersecurity infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols
- Develop and implement IT security policies compliant with federal standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning for critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and network optimization
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for agency networks
- Provide technical guidance on cloud migration strategies and DevOps implementation
- Prepare compliance documentation for federal audits and security clearance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal IT security or infrastructure management
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in AWS/Azure cloud services and federal cloud security frameworks
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) and threat intelligence tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills with experience in risk assessment methodologies
