Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for internal and client systems.
- Configure and secure firewalls, routers, and switches using Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to comply with federal security standards (NIST).
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff members.
- Document system configurations, incident reports, and technical procedures in compliance with ITIL standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new software solutions and hardware upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Active or eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal contracting or government IT environments.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and Virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
