Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize enterprise IT systems including cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols
- Develop and maintain secure database solutions for veteran health records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT modernization projects
- Provide technical guidance on federal IT compliance standards (FISMA, NIST)
- Lead system integration initiatives for VA healthcare applications
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security patches
- Mentor junior IT staff on federal IT best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT systems and compliance frameworks
- Active CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies
- Experience with database management (SQL, Oracle) and network security
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Demonstrated project management skills using Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex IT environments
