Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure supporting VA healthcare systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement cybersecurity protocols
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network and server environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration projects
- Document technical procedures and maintain system documentation
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and federal IT regulations
- Train staff on new technologies and security best practices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with federal IT systems
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Demonstrated experience with network security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
