Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity operations for federal networks using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Implement and maintain secure network architectures including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security standards
- Train staff on security protocols and emerging cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams for unified security initiatives
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in network security or systems administration
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows server environments and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
