Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the integrity of federal IT infrastructure and local area networks (LANs).
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security standards, NIST frameworks, and IT governance policies.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy new technology solutions.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and incident reports to ensure knowledge continuity.
- Train junior staff and stakeholders on new technologies and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a federal IT environment.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
