Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues during weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday).
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets in the state's enterprise service management system.
- Assist users with password resets, account provisioning, and email configuration.
- Perform routine system monitoring, patch management, and security audits to ensure state data integrity.
- Document all technical interactions, resolutions, and system changes accurately.
- Collaborate with the full-time IT staff to address escalated issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with state cybersecurity policies and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a helpdesk or IT support role, preferably within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse state agency staff.
- Ability to work independently during weekends and holidays with minimal supervision.
